Emotions Week!

This week’s theme was all about emotions, and our kiddos had a blast getting creative while learning about feelings!

Monday: We kicked things off by making DIY stress balls with flour and balloons. Everyone loved squishing them and talking about how they can help when we feel upset or need to calm down.
Tuesday: We made bottle cap emotions, where the kids matched faces to different feelings. It was a fun way to talk about what emotions look like and when we might feel them.
Wednesday: Mid-week, we made banana sushi using tortillas, bananas, and peanut butter. The kids practiced spreading, rolling, and cutting—great fine motor work and a yummy snack too!
Thursday: We created “worry monsters” by drawing faces on paper plates and painting them using straws and watercolors. This activity helped the kids work on emotional regulation exercises such as deep breathing to spread the paint.
Friday: To wrap up the week, we used Play-Doh to make different emotions. The kids made happy, sad, and silly faces while sharing times they’ve felt that way.
Everyone did such an awesome job being creative, expressing their feelings, and learning more about emotions all week long!
