Valentine’s Day Week

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to bring a little extra joy and creativity into the clinic. It’s a great opportunity to mix fun, friendship, and skill-building into sessions while keeping things lighthearted and engaging.

No-Sew Heart Pillows
A no-sew pillow craft is a cozy and hands-on way to celebrate the day. Using pre-cut fleece fabric and stuffing, clients can tie the edges together to make their own heart-shaped pillows. This activity encourages fine motor skills, following directions, and patience. Plus, everyone gets to take home a soft, handmade Valentine keepsake.

Making Valentine’s Cards
Card-making is a classic Valentine’s activity that fits perfectly into ABA sessions. Clients can decorate cards for family, friends, or staff using markers, stickers, and heart-shaped cutouts. It’s a great way to work on requesting materials, expressing creativity, and sharing kind messages.

Valentine’s Day Party
To wrap up the celebration, a small Valentine’s Day party brings everyone together. The party included music, snacks, and a chance to share the crafts made earlier in the week with their friends. Clients practiced social skills like greeting others, waiting their turn, and engaging in group activities. It’s a fun way to reinforce positive interactions and celebrate teamwork.

Valentine’s Day in an ABA clinic is more than just crafts and games—it’s a chance to build connections, practice important skills, and spread kindness. Whether it’s through making a pillow, playing Bingo, or sharing cards, the day can be filled with learning, laughter, and love.
